Ok, so this is pretty important. Let’s break it down together. We judge each other right of the bat by our physical appearance and the activities we are doing in our photos, as well as the facebook likes we have in common and so on.

Her main picture is a duck face selfie from above. Lovely cleavage is showing as well. Three more pictures are selfies from different angles. One picture is in front of the mirror. One picture alongside her 2 hot friends in a club all dressed up. Her description reads “follow me on IG:cutie91.
Just from this short description, you probably have a pretty clear image of what kind of girl this is.
Based on your preferences you might be excited about hooking up with this hottie or annoyed by her superficial tendencies.
Let’s analyse this made up profile together, and see what we can conclude about this girl.
First off, she chooses to put a selfie as her main picture. Why a selfie? The strength of selfies comes with the power to take 100 shots of yourself before you nail the perfect picture. You can simply keep going until you look the very best that you possibly can. Therefore, this girl is probably very concerned about her looks (yeah, okay all girls are, but then she is more than average) and her looks are her main strength.
Your profile is your personal ad. Get the most bang for your buck.
This is reinforced with the 3 other selfie pictures and the mirror image. An online dating profile is like a job application. If the application reads “List your main strength and values” and you go:
- Good looking
- Nice hair
- Great boobs
- Pretty face
- Clean skin
- Beautiful butt
You are showing that you are very one dimensional. In a Tinder profile, you only have a limited number of pictures to show, and if you spend 5 of them on selfies, you are saying that beauty is the only thing you got going for you.
IF you have an amazing, interesting life with a shit ton of cool stuff in it, you probably wouldn’t just spend the limited ad space on selfies. And in the worst case scenario, you are narcissistic and very self-indulgent.
Don’t get me wrong. I have been with plenty of these kinds of girls, and I won’t judge you if you try to get into her panties. I did and still do now and then when I get really drunk.
Now I’m a bit older (29), and have had my fair share of superficial girls in my life, so now I try to go for the girls with a bit more substance. However, it can still be really fun as long as you know what you are dealing with.
So back to you. If you did an audit on your profile what would the results be? Look at your profile objectively as an outsider and see what comes across to your viewers. You might be portraying yourself in a way that is not really you.
For example, let’s say you did a trip to Europe a few years back, and your profile is filled with travel pictures from cool places. But do you really love to travel. Is it a big part of your life?
Another guy might fill his profile with drinking pictures from good times with his friends at the bars/clubs. But, he is not really a party person and most of the time, he would rather be watching a good movie and cuddling in bed.
My advice to you. You want your profile to reflect you. The BEST side of you (not the side of you that fapped 5 times last Sunday to that weird bukake porn).
The main cool things you got going for you in your life should be included, and it should be more than one thing. An example could be:
- Full body picture with a neutral pose and background (setting)
- Doing some kind of sport / exercise
- Traveling
- Hanging with friends
- Partying
- Silly picture
Make it represent your life. This is also a good hint that you should have more cool stuff in your life, if you are having a hard time coming up a profile, and how to best portray yourself.

What type of girl are you going to attract?
Now that we got the basics in place, we can take it to the next level. So you are not only attracting girls, but making sure you attract the girls that you want to meet.
Think about what kind of girl you want to date. Do you want a party girl, nerdy girl, fitness chick, etc.
People love themselves. If you want a party girl, you want to include a lot of pictures of you partying. If you want a gold digger (and you actually have a lot of money), include pictures of your fancy cars. If you like nerdy girls, include pictures of you going to Blizcon. You get the point. Have the pictures show who you are, but tweak them so that they will help to attract your dream girl.
Just be aware that by including certain kind of pictures, you might scare off some girls.
